Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Léon Bakst achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2020. In the Russian Pictures auction, the work Costume Design for the Russian Doll in La Boutique fantasque sold for GBP 47,880.00 (€ 53,486.23) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Léon Bakst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Dancer In Costume in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 624,000.00 (€ 926,659.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Léon Bakst erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Pictures wurde die Arbeit Costume Design for the Russian Doll in La Boutique fantasque für GBP 47.880,00 (€ 53.486,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Léon Bakst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Dancer In Costume im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 624.000,00 (€ 926.659,53).
