This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art at Sothebys in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 10,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leo Gestel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gladiolen in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 505,250.00 (€ 638,652.94).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leo Gestel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gladiolen im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 505.250,00 (€ 638.652,94).
