Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Passar te Singkarak. (West-Sumatra) by Leo Eland was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 540.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Leo Eland have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Indonesian Villagers Passing A Batak House in March 2013 with an auction result of EUR 5,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Passar te Singkarak. (West-Sumatra) von Leo Eland kam im September 2006 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 540,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leo Eland auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Indonesian Villagers Passing A Batak House im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.000,00.
