Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Indonesian Art, which included the work Landscape with workers by the vulcano by Leo Eland. The price achieved of EUR 1,800.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leo Eland - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Indonesian Villagers Passing A Batak House, which sold at auction in March 2013 for EUR 5,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Indonesian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape with workers by the vulcano von Leo Eland zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.800,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Leo Eland mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Indonesian Villagers Passing A Batak House beobachtet, die im März 2013 für EUR 5.000,00 versteigert wurde.
