Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Gunung Agoeng, Bali - Returning home by Leo Eland was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2006. It achieved a price of EUR 1,800.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leo Eland - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Indonesian Villagers Passing A Batak House, which sold at auction in March 2013 for EUR 5,000.00.

Die Arbeit Gunung Agoeng, Bali - Returning home von Leo Eland kam im September 2006 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 1.800,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Leo Eland mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Indonesian Villagers Passing A Batak House beobachtet, die im März 2013 für EUR 5.000,00 versteigert wurde.
