Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Lee Ungno could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in June 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Boundless: Contemporary Art auction, the work Composition changed hands for HKD 47,500.00 (€ 5,493.54) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lee Ungno have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 43,343.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lee Ungno konnte im Juni 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Composition für HKD 47.500,00 (€ 5.493,54) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lee Ungno auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 43.343,06).
