A top price for Lee Ungno - as previously expected
In May 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included this untitled work by Lee Ungno. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 350,000.00 – 550,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 43,343.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, this work without title is the most expensive artwork by Lee Ungno that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Lee Ungno zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 350.000,00 – 550.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 43.343,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist dieses Werk ohne Titel das teuerste Kunstwerk von Lee Ungno, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
