In the Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California auction, the work Filaments and Moths, 1963 sold for USD 10,075.00 (€ 8,597.88) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lee Mullican have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bright Path, 1967 in September last year with an auction result of USD 69,675.00 (€ 71,220.48).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Lee Mullican erzielte im September 2020 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California wurde die Arbeit Filaments and Moths, 1963 für USD 10.075,00 (€ 8.597,88) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00.
