Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Lee Mullican achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in April this year. In the Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art auction, the work Spirit Bird, 1983 sold for USD 5,355.00 (€ 4,850.54) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lee Mullican achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bright Path, 1967 in September last year with an auction result of USD 69,675.00 (€ 71,220.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lee Mullican erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Spirit Bird, 1983 für USD 5.355,00 (€ 4.850,54) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lee Mullican erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bright Path, 1967 im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 69.675,00 (€ 71.220,48).
