Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Water Falls, Agawa Canyon by Lawren Stewart Harris was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in June 2010. The price achieved of CAD 198,000.00 (€ 151,878.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lawren Stewart Harris have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mountain Sketch LXIII in November last year with an auction result of USD 882,000.00 (€ 854,402.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Water Falls, Agawa Canyon von Lawren Stewart Harris wurde im Juni 2010 in der Auktion Important Canadian Art bei Sothebys in Toronto versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CAD 198.000,00 (€ 151.878,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CAD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lawren Stewart Harris auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mountain Sketch LXIII im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 882.000,00 (€ 854.402,79).
