Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abstract Painting #36 by Lawren Stewart Harris was auctioned at Sothebys in Toronto in November 2012. The price achieved of CAD 33,000.00 (€ 25,540.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 30,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lawren Stewart Harris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mountain Sketch LXIII in November last year with an auction result of USD 882,000.00 (€ 854,402.79).

Die Arbeit Abstract Painting #36 von Lawren Stewart Harris kam im November 2012 bei Sothebys in Toronto zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CAD 33.000,00 (€ 25.540,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CAD 30.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lawren Stewart Harris erzielen.
