This artwork by Laurence Jenkell achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in June 2017. In the Art Contemporain Vente du soir auction, the work Wrapping bonbon aluminium polimiroir sold for EUR 278,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 150,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Laurence Jenkell; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Bonbon Aluminum Polimiroir sold at auction in November 2019 with the realized price of USD 325,000.00 (€ 294,945.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 86 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Laurence Jenkell erzielte im Juni 2017 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Art Contemporain Vente du soir wurde die Arbeit Wrapping bonbon aluminium polimiroir für EUR 278.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 150.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Laurence Jenkell; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Bonbon Aluminum Polimiroir im November 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 325.000,00 (€ 294.945,09).
