In the Crossing America: Photographs from the Consolidated Freightways Collection, Part I auction, the work Ship Rock, 1931 sold for USD 16,250.00 (€ 10,964.17) - well above the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Laura Gilpin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Ranchos Church', which sold at auction in July 2020 for USD 31,250.00 (€ 26,541.53).
