The work Aspens by Laura Gilpin was sold in the Photographs from the Polaroid Collection auction at Sothebys in New York in June 2010. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,119.03), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Laura Gilpin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Ranchos Church', which sold at auction in July 2020 for USD 31,250.00 (€ 26,541.53).

Die Arbeit Aspens von Laura Gilpin wurde im Juni 2010 in der Auktion Photographs from the Polaroid Collection bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.119,03) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Laura Gilpin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Ranchos Church' beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für USD 31.250,00 (€ 26.541,53) versteigert wurde.
