The work Tao Landscape (Homage to Lao Tzu) (Post Rimba series) by Latiff Mohidin was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2012. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 620,000.00 (€ 61,475.79), 55% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Latiff Mohidin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in April 2015 with the realized price of HKD 1,062,500.00 (€ 122,793.85).

Die Arbeit Tao Landscape (Homage to Lao Tzu) (Post Rimba series) von Latiff Mohidin wurde im November 2012 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 620.000,00 (€ 61.475,79) und damit 55% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Latiff Mohidin; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.062.500,00 (€ 122.793,85).
