This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 250,000.00 many times over. This high result makes the work without title the most expensive artwork by Latiff Mohidin that we have observed at auctions so far.
