Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work RIMBA SERIES 2 by Latiff Mohidin. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 475,000.00 (€ 57,881.92), 19% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Latiff Mohidin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 1,062,500.00 (€ 122,793.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2016 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit RIMBA SERIES 2 von Latiff Mohidin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 57.881,92) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Latiff Mohidin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 1.062.500,00 (€ 122.793,85) versteigert wurde.
