Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Collection Of Prints by Latiff Mohidin was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 11,250.00 (€ 1,267.48). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Latiff Mohidin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,062,500.00 (€ 122,793.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A Collection Of Prints von Latiff Mohidin im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 11.250,00 (€ 1.267,48) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Latiff Mohidin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.062.500,00 (€ 122.793,85).
