Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Rawang 95-6 by Latiff Mohidin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 11,250.00 (€ 1,267.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Latiff Mohidin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,062,500.00 (€ 122,793.85).
