Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unknown by Lao Lianben was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2014. The price achieved of HKD 162,500.00 (€ 15,368.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lao Lianben have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Meditation 3 in May this year with an auction result of HKD 882,000.00 (€ 105,717.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Unknown von Lao Lianben kam im Mai 2014 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 162.500,00 (€ 15.368,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lao Lianben auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Meditation 3 im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 882.000,00 (€ 105.717,48).
