Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Zen by Lao Lianben was sold in the Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. The price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 8,232.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lao Lianben achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Meditation 3 in May this year with an auction result of HKD 882,000.00 (€ 105,717.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Zen von Lao Lianben wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 8.232,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lao Lianben erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Meditation 3 im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 882.000,00 (€ 105.717,48).
