Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Puppet/Kill Me Please by Lamar Peterson was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,750.00 (€ 1,558.74) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lamar Peterson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2019 for USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,587.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Puppet/Kill Me Please von Lamar Peterson kam im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.750,00 (€ 1.558,74) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lamar Peterson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.587,77) versteigert wurde.
