The work Journey To Mount Huang by Lai Shaoqi was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 378,000.00 (€ 41,866.58), 51% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Lai Shaoqi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,770,000.00 (€ 194,809.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 51 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Journey To Mount Huang von Lai Shaoqi wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 378.000,00 (€ 41.866,58) und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lai Shaoqi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.770.000,00 (€ 194.809,41).
