Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy in Lishu I by Lai Shaoqi was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in August 2021. It changed hands for a price of HKD 18,900.00 (€ 2,058.18) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lai Shaoqi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,770,000.00 (€ 194,809.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Lishu I von Lai Shaoqi kam im August 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 18.900,00 (€ 2.058,18) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lai Shaoqi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.770.000,00 (€ 194.809,41).
