This artwork by Lai Shaoqi achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in October 2021. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy In Clerical Script sold for HKD 72,000.00 (€ 8,009.00) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lai Shaoqi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,770,000.00 (€ 194,809.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 80 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lai Shaoqi erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei China Guardian einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy In Clerical Script für HKD 72.000,00 (€ 8.009,00) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lai Shaoqi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.770.000,00 (€ 194.809,41).
