Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Large Water Jar by Ladi Kwali was sold in the Made in Britain auction at Sothebys in London in April 2017. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,156.31), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ladi Kwali have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Water Vessel in October this year with an auction result of GBP 21,760.00 (€ 24,986.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Large Water Jar von Ladi Kwali wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Made in Britain bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.156,31) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ladi Kwali auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Water Vessel im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.760,00 (€ 24.986,53).
