Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Bowl by Ladi Kwali was auctioned at Bonhams in London in October 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,355.00 (€ 6,344.23). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ladi Kwali - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Water Vessel, which sold at auction in October this year for GBP 21,760.00 (€ 24,986.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Bowl von Ladi Kwali kam im Oktober 2021 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.355,00 (€ 6.344,23) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ladi Kwali mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Water Vessel beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für GBP 21.760,00 (€ 24.986,53) versteigert wurde.
