In July 2006 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art including The Studio of Humphrey Jennings, which included the work Hazy Sunlight by Kurt Jackson. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 720.00 (€ 1,054.00), 44% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kurt Jackson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rabbit Fence, Wind Break, Runner Beans in March this year with an auction result of GBP 15,300.00 (€ 17,406.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art including The Studio of Humphrey Jennings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hazy Sunlight von Kurt Jackson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 720,00 (€ 1.054,00) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kurt Jackson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rabbit Fence, Wind Break, Runner Beans im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.300,00 (€ 17.406,71).
