Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
When the work Nanjizal, Ebbing Tide, Indian Summer by Kurt Jackson was auctioned at Bonhams in London in December 2020, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - GBP 800.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at GBP 2,550.00 (€ 2,848.58). Admittedly, works by Kurt Jackson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rabbit Fence, Wind Break, Runner Beans in March this year with an auction result of GBP 15,300.00 (€ 17,406.71).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Nanjizal, Ebbing Tide, Indian Summer von Kurt Jackson im Dezember 2020 bei Bonhams in London versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – GBP 800,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit GBP 2.550,00 (€ 2.848,58) mehr als dreimal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kurt Jackson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rabbit Fence, Wind Break, Runner Beans im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.300,00 (€ 17.406,71).
