In December 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Cricklade - Blackbirds Arguing by Kurt Jackson. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,785.00 (€ 1,994.00), 49% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Kurt Jackson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rabbit Fence, Wind Break, Runner Beans in March this year with an auction result of GBP 15,300.00 (€ 17,406.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 49 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cricklade - Blackbirds Arguing von Kurt Jackson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.785,00 (€ 1.994,00) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kurt Jackson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rabbit Fence, Wind Break, Runner Beans im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.300,00 (€ 17.406,71).
