Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Selected Images, 1937-1938 by Kuniyoshi Kaneko for USD 1,195.00 (€ 605.06). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kuniyoshi Kaneko achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Protezione in July 2020 with an auction result of EUR 9,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Selected Images, 1937-1938 von Kuniyoshi Kaneko für USD 1.195,00 (€ 605,06) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kuniyoshi Kaneko erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Protezione im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.500,00.
