The work Edo Period (1615-1868) by Kubo Shunman was sold in the Fine Japanese and Korean Art, including the Crawford Collection of Surimono auction at Bonhams in New York in September 2021. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,202.64), 70% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kubo Shunman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Edo Period (1615-1868), 1810S in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 56,562.50 (€ 48,857.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Edo Period (1615-1868) von Kubo Shunman wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion Fine Japanese and Korean Art, including the Crawford Collection of Surimono bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.202,64) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kubo Shunman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Edo Period (1615-1868), 1810S im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.562,50 (€ 48.857,65).
