Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A shikishiban surimono print of Rei by Kubo Shunman was sold in the From Harunobu to Hasui | Japanese Prints across the centuries auction at Bonhams in London in May this year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,408.00 (€ 1,638.22), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kubo Shunman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Edo Period (1615-1868), 1810S in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 56,562.50 (€ 48,857.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A shikishiban surimono print of Rei von Kubo Shunman wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion From Harunobu to Hasui | Japanese Prints across the centuries bei Bonhams in London versteigert.
