A top price for Kubo Shunman
This artwork by Kubo Shunman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in September 2021. In the Fine Japanese and Korean Art, including the Crawford Collection of Surimono auction, the work Edo Period (1615-1868), 1810S sold for USD 56,562.50 (€ 48,857.65) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. This high result makes Edo Period (1615-1868), 1810S the most expensive artwork by Kubo Shunman that we have observed at auctions so far.
