Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Japanese and Korean Art, which included the work Edo period (1615–1868), early 19th century by Kubo Shunman. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,218.25), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kubo Shunman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Edo Period (1615-1868), 1810S in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 56,562.50 (€ 48,857.65).
