The work Purple Snow Mist 1 by Koo Mei was sold in the Cultivating Delight: Collecting Chinese Art auction at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2020. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 32,500.00 (€ 3,560.81), 30% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Koo Mei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Majestic Panorama in May last year with an auction result of HKD 327,600.00 (€ 38,893.15).

Die Arbeit Purple Snow Mist 1 von Koo Mei wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Cultivating Delight: Collecting Chinese Art bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 32.500,00 (€ 3.560,81) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Koo Mei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Majestic Panorama im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 327.600,00 (€ 38.893,15).
