The work Autumn Sunset by Koo Mei was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. It achieved a price of HKD 138,600.00 (€ 16,609.20), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Koo Mei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Majestic Panorama, which sold at auction in May last year for HKD 327,600.00 (€ 38,893.15).

Die Arbeit Autumn Sunset von Koo Mei wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 138.600,00 (€ 16.609,20) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39%. Für andere Arbeiten von Koo Mei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Majestic Panorama beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für HKD 327.600,00 (€ 38.893,15) versteigert wurde.
