In February this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Dawn of Spring – Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Four Seasons by Koo Mei. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 63,000.00 (€ 7,570.46), 58% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Koo Mei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Majestic Panorama in May last year with an auction result of HKD 327,600.00 (€ 38,893.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 58 % übertroffen
Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Dawn of Spring – Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Four Seasons von Koo Mei zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 63.000,00 (€ 7.570,46) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Koo Mei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Majestic Panorama im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 327.600,00 (€ 38.893,15).
