Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Contemporary Ink, which included the work Fading Moon by Koo Mei. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 81,250.00 (€ 8,747.79). Admittedly, works by Koo Mei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Majestic Panorama in May last year with an auction result of HKD 327,600.00 (€ 38,893.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fading Moon von Koo Mei zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 81.250,00 (€ 8.747,79) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Koo Mei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Majestic Panorama im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 327.600,00 (€ 38.893,15).
