Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bogatyr by Konstantin Alexandrovich Westchilov was sold in the Russian Art auction at Christies in London in June 2019. The price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,293.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Konstantin Alexandrovich Westchilov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Afternoon Sun, Crimea, which sold at auction in November 2011 for GBP 79,250.00 (€ 92,516.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bogatyr von Konstantin Alexandrovich Westchilov wurde im Juni 2019 in der Auktion Russian Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.293,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Konstantin Alexandrovich Westchilov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Afternoon Sun, Crimea beobachtet, die im November 2011 für GBP 79.250,00 (€ 92.516,26) versteigert wurde.
