Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Self Portrait #7; & The Chaser by Koh Sang Woo was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 56,250.00 (€ 5,843.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Koh Sang Woo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pierrot Lion in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 23,431.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Self Portrait #7; & The Chaser von Koh Sang Woo kam im Mai 2010 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 56.250,00 (€ 5.843,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Koh Sang Woo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pierrot Lion im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 23.431,58).
