Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2009 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Hug; & What light dreams when the sun is in love by Koh Sang Woo. The price achieved of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 7,528.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Koh Sang Woo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pierrot Lion, which sold at auction in September 2020 for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 23,431.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2009 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hug; & What light dreams when the sun is in love von Koh Sang Woo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 7.528,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Koh Sang Woo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pierrot Lion beobachtet, die im September 2020 für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 23.431,58) versteigert wurde.
