Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2002 Christies in New York held the auction Japanese and Korean Art, which included the work Kurokami (Glossy dark hair), from the series Kindai jisesho no (Women's manners of today), uchi go, no. 5 by Kobayakawa Kiyoshi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,629.00 (€ 2,661.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kobayakawa Kiyoshi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Showa era (1926-1989), 1930 in March last year with an auction result of USD 50,312.50 (€ 45,355.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2002 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Japanese and Korean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kurokami (Glossy dark hair), from the series Kindai jisesho no (Women's manners of today), uchi go, no. 5 von Kobayakawa Kiyoshi zur Versteigerung kam.
