Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Klara Kristalova achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in May 2010. In the Contemporary Art Part II auction, the work Silence is Golden sold for USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,568.84) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Klara Kristalova - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2015 for SEK 160,000.00 (€ 17,071.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Klara Kristalova erzielte im Mai 2010 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Part II wurde die Arbeit Silence is Golden für USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.568,84) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Klara Kristalova mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für SEK 160.000,00 (€ 17.071,13) versteigert wurde.
