Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2012 Christies in London held the auction The Japanese Aesthetic, which included the work Hanging scroll, a bijin, signed Tsunetomi and sealed Tsunetomi by Kitano Tsunetomi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 2,001.84) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kitano Tsunetomi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Heron Maiden (Sagi Musume) in November 2019 with an auction result of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,549.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Japanese Aesthetic durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hanging scroll, a bijin, signed Tsunetomi and sealed Tsunetomi von Kitano Tsunetomi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 2.001,84) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kitano Tsunetomi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Heron Maiden (Sagi Musume) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 20.549,28).
