Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Japanese and Korean Art, which included the work Sagi musume (The heron maiden) by Kitano Tsunetomi. The price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 879.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kitano Tsunetomi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Heron Maiden (Sagi Musume) in November 2019 with an auction result of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,549.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Japanese and Korean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sagi musume (The heron maiden) von Kitano Tsunetomi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.250,00 (€ 879,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kitano Tsunetomi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Heron Maiden (Sagi Musume) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 20.549,28).
