In July 2019 Christies in London held the auction From Artist to Woodblock: Japanese Prints, which included the work Tiger and Bamboo by Kikukawa Eizan. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,744.83), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kikukawa Eizan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Haru no raku (Spring pleasures), which sold at auction in March 2007 for USD 13,200.00 (€ 9,869.90).
