2. The Chofu jewel river, from the series Mu Tamagawa no uchi (Six jewel rivers), signed Kikugawa Eizan hitsu, published by Yamadaya Shojiro, circa 1809-13

In September 2021 Christies held the auction Important Japanese Art, which included the work A Group Of Two Portrait Prints by Kikukawa Eizan. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,018.23), 35% above the upper estimate. Other works by Kikukawa Eizan have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 13,200.00 (€ 9,869.90) in March 2007 for the work Haru no raku (Spring pleasures).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im September 2021 führte Christies die Auktion Important Japanese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Group Of Two Portrait Prints von Kikukawa Eizan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.018,23) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Kikukawa Eizan haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.200,00 (€ 9.869,90) im März 2007 für die Arbeit Haru no raku (Spring pleasures) beobachtet.
