Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hair face by Kiko Escora was sold in the Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2010. The price achieved of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 6,493.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 55,000.00 – 75,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kiko Escora - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait, which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 19,072.31).

Die Arbeit Hair face von Kiko Escora wurde im Mai 2010 in der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 6.493,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 55.000,00 – 75.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Kiko Escora mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 19.072,31) versteigert wurde.
