Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fuck You! by Kiko Escora was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2011. The price achieved of HKD 68,750.00 (€ 6,349.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 55,000.00 – 75,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kiko Escora - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait, which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 19,072.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fuck You! von Kiko Escora wurde im Oktober 2011 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 6.349,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 55.000,00 – 75.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Kiko Escora mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 19.072,31) versteigert wurde.
